Background:

Within 24 hours of the confirmation of Nigeria’s index COVID19 Case in Ogun State, Nigeria, InStrat Global Health Solutions worked with Plus91 Technologies to develop and deploy the Android COVID-19 Mobile Application. This contained a tutorial to train health workers on the background, diagnoses and management of COVID-19 cases. It intends to help prepare health workers on responding to Covid-19 cases and learning the protocols. This is expected to help build up the health worker capacity responding to the Covid-19 pandemic.

About the App

The COVID19 Tutorial application is built using the MediXcel Lite health technology platform (from Plus91 Technologies), and is designed to:

• Directly provide health workers accurate and regularly updated information about the Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID)
• Enable front line health workers, epidemic response officers, strategic personnel to better identify, screen and manage persons who may be suspected carriers of COVID.
• Help get health workers up to speed with specimen collection techniques and safety measures to observe within wards and quarantine centers dealing with Covid-19.
